Business Analysis and Scoping

This is a key stage that will define the scope of the solution. An experienced TES consultant will liaise with the business’ Key Users to understand and document any gaps between business processes and the “out-of-the-box” functionality of the Dynamics NAV software.

Training of Key users

Our approach is designed to ensure that Key Users understand NAV functionality prior to making design or configuration decisions. We run application training and design workshops where the Key Users are experiencing standard setup decisions as relevant to business processes.

Review Analysis and Agree Design with Key Users

All findings from the Gap analysis are documented and technical designs are produced. These are then validated with the business, agreed and signed off before application development activities commence.

System Configuration and Customisation

A TES developer will develop any customizations as agreed and documented in the scoping analysis phase. All development is documented and can be used as part of the final training pack.

User Acceptance Testing

Another key stage of the delivery cycle, UAT is a planned period during which the business can fully test all areas of the system development and configuration in order to ensure that the software meets the initially identified requirements and will support the business in a live environment.

System Walkthrough

The System Walkthrough can be considered as a trial go-live event, the purpose of which is to collectively evaluate the system delivery against defined success criteria, as well as ensuring that the business users are ready to go-live and that Dynamics NAV will support the business.

End User Training

Our suggested approach is that End User Training is run by the business’ Key Users – this helps to embed the system knowledge within the business and empowers the Key Users to become a point of contact for questions/issues as the system is embedded into the company.
If required, however, TES can assist with End User Training, in part or in full. For example, the development of a training plan, the creation of training materials, right through to running training sessions across the End User base.

Go-Live

We understand that project delivery does not stop on go-live day. TES will ensure an on-site presence on the day of your go-live, plus an agreed number of days thereafter. The project delivery team will work closely with the TES Service Desk to undertake a structured handover that ensures seamless ongoing support to the business.
