Reporting to: Sales and Marketing Manager

Place of Work: Remote working & TES Rugeley Office

Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 9am to 5.30pm

As a key member of a small marketing team, you will support the Sales and Marketing Manager and the part-time Marketing Director in delivering the business’ objectives.

Purpose of Role

Using a broad knowledge of marketing techniques, you will be hands-on and ready for every challenge. You will enjoy being involved with all aspects of marketing but primarily will focus on the creation of compelling content to showcase our brand and product, building our social channels engagement, organising our event and webinar calendar, briefing collateral and promotional assets and owning our email marketing campaigns.

You will be confident and experienced in both writing and briefing compelling copy (ideally with some knowledge of a SaaS business) and have experience of working with 3rd party agencies.


Key Tasks

  • Managing our day-to-day marketing to support TES at events, on social, on our website and via email campaigns and newsletters.
  • Managing CRM database marketing activity via email campaigns to Customers and Prospects
  • Writing copy for all marketing collateral, including social posts, emails and web content (including Case Studies)
  • Creating video content and assets
  • Monitoring ongoing campaign spending against the budget.
  • Briefing and managing suppliers (printers and design agencies)
  • Owning our event calendar and all related marketing assets (banners, flyers etc)
  • Undertaking detailed ongoing analysis of marketing campaigns to ensure targets are met.
  • Developing our social media strategy alongside our agency
  • Assisting in the production of ongoing competitor analysis and reporting
  • Manage and develop the relationship with our marketing/PR agencies to deliver effective SEO content.

The Ideal Candidate

With a strong personality, and a passion for B2B marketing, you will have experience in a similar role, preferably in a growth business. You will be organised and be able to successfully manage multiple workload streams. You will also have the ability to communicate effectively with internal and external colleagues.

A degree in marketing or a professional marketing qualification will be an advantage.

Person Specification

  • Proven experience in a marketing position
  • Experience of briefing and managing agencies
  • Budget management and campaign tracking against KPIs
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Content writing experience
  • An understanding of branding and know how to keep a consistent tone in writing/ content.
  • Excellent teamworking skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail ensuring all work is accurate & sense checked.
  • IT literate to a high standard
  • Knowledge of business applications such as Microsoft Dynamics 365, Dynamics NAV/BC, MS Stack desirable
  • Excellent commercial awareness
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time and prioritise workloads effectively.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office, PowerPoint, Word, Excel
  • Working knowledge of social media platforms including creating engaging content
