What is the TES Accelerator?

TES Accelerator is a pre-packaged and cost-effective deployment method. It allows your charity or not-for-profit to land with your solution with Dynamics 365, while giving you the opportunity to expand it in the future.

TES Accelerator is utilised for an initially reduced scope project, and requires much less input from you, without losing value to your end solution. It’s a quick implementation and in fact, the fastest way your organisation can step into digital transformation.

The key deployment phases for the TES Accelerator method are detailed below.

1. Project initiation
This stage includes static data preparation and migration, and configuration for deployment.
2. Training
Key training covers an introduction to the solution, application setup, plus finance, sales, and purchase essentials.
3. User acceptance testing
Test scripts are completed during the user acceptance testing phase.
4. Full system walkthrough
This phase runs through final preparations before launch, with a full walkthrough session for key users.
5. Go-live
The go-live can be scheduled with the full system walkthrough completion and once all key users are satisfied the solution has matched their requirements.
6. Aftercare
TES provides support packages to allow organisations to get the most out of the solution and expand its functionality when required.

Guided and Provided

Termed internally as guided and provided, this is a method of deployment that offers you more in the way of configuration. It is best suited to appease specific requirements and tailored functionality of a Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution.

Guided and Provided is the most empowering method in terms of knowledge around the solution being deployed, guiding core users every step of the way. It includes high levels of ‘show and tell’ and a deep dive into system capability.

It advises on how to improve internal processes and how to optimise the solution to your organisational needs.

This deployment method compartmentalises projects into manageable and controllable stages. TES defines these stages in eight scenarios, detailed below.

1. Business analysis & scoping
This is a key stage where TES works closely with the customer to define the scope of the solution required. TES will liaise with key users to understand and document any gaps between business processes and the standard functionality of the given solution.
2. Key user training
The TES approach is designed to ensure that all key users understand the full functionality of the solution before making design or configuration decisions. To ensure the right decisions are being made, TES run solution and application training programmes, scheduled to work effectively with the user’s busy calendars. This time will be used to also run gap analysis.
3. Review, analyse & agree design
All findings from the gap analysis are documented and used to design technical and specific functionality and configuration. Once identified, they are validated with the customer and developed with sign-off on design.
4. System configuration & customisation
TES developers work on any customisations required and as agreed in the previous stage. These customisations are documented and implemented into a specific training programme delivered to the user.
5. User acceptance testing
UAT is a planned period of testing, during which users can fully get to grips with the functionality and configuration of the system. This stage identifies whether the software meets the requirements of the business and is viable to move into a live environment.
6. System walkthrough
Best considered a trial go-live stage, the purpose of the system walkthrough is to collectively evaluate the system delivery against defined success criteria. This stage is critical in understanding whether the system is ready to support the organisation and its users as intended.
7. End user training
TES suggests that EUT (End User Training) is run by the organisation’s key users. This stage will help embed system knowledge, empowering the key users to be advocates of the system and the go-to resources for internal questions and training as the wider team is introduced.
8. Go-live
Once ready, TES will schedule the go-live date with your organisation’s key users. TES ensure an on-site presence on the agreed date to offer on-hand support. An agreed support package and managed services means that your organisation is never left alone with the system. TES will always ensure seamless and ongoing support post go-live.
