A note from our CEO…

Over the last twelve months we’ve seen how our customers have really embraced new ways of working. Businesses and employees have had to navigate video conferencing and running meetings remotely, with a new requirement to work anywhere. This has emphasised the need for cloud computing; COVID has accelerated the Digital Transformation for most of us in one way or another.

Here at TES, we have had a challenging year – like many – but one that has not been without its rewards either. We made the decision to invest early on during the pandemic. We invested in skills, people, our upgrade assurance service, and key product offerings (specifically CRM and functionality for our NFP customers) with the goal to remain strong for our customers and to continue to offer only the best Digital Transformation solutions – particularly at a time when our customers needed it most.

Thank you so much to all of you who completed the recent TES surveys. We really appreciate your feedback as we always strive to do the best for our customers. As we grow, our capacity to care for our customer grows too. We wanted to know whether what we were doing was right – and you are telling us that it is! As well as this, we are seeing that our biggest source of new business is referrals – which means we have you to thank for our ongoing success and growth.

We are excited to continue on this Digital Transformation journey and look forward to having you on board.

Paul Faulkner, Chief Executive Officer

TES Give Back

Here at TES, we are extremely pleased to share our latest initiative to continue to make a strong social impact.

Going forwards, TES is allocating 5% of the year’s profit to selected NFP customers of choice. This is in addition to all the TES fundraising carried out through the year, as well as other global Microsoft philanthropies.

Caring starts at home, and on this basis we also give back 5% of profits to our staff, shared out through the yearly TES Bonus Scheme.

Latest Business Central and CRM SaaS Updates

Microsoft regularly releases updates to software and as the SaaS 2021 Release Wave 1 is being rolled out, we wanted to highlight a couple of key features that have been included for Business Central. These will make a positive difference to your use of the system, specifically around dimensions.

Greater control over default dimensions

Microsoft has added functionality to enable you to specify ranges of Dimension Values in your Default dimensions. This feature is ideal for scenarios when you need some flexibility, but do not want to run the risk of creating an error in the allocation of a dimension assignment.

Dimension corrections (for G/L entries)

Limitations with older versions, associated with entries posted with incorrect dimensions has now been addressed by Microsoft. The newly added functionality allows you to update dimensions associated with a posted entry, rather than having to journal the corrective entries. Don’t worry, you will still have the full audit history of every activity.

As with each release, there are numerous other enhancements. If you want to discuss these or are interested in how you could implement some of these changes, please do not hesitate to reach out to your Customer Success Manager.

TES Fundraising

We couldn’t finish this newsletter without telling you about our latest fundraising exercise by the staff at TES. Fundraising is something most of us get involved with on a regular basis and this time round Hayley, Sarah, Beth and Beth’s daughters, Jodie and Kelly, carried out the Dementia Charity Walk, raising a huge £1,035 between them and several dogs!
