Microsoft TLS Encryption Update

2020 will see a big change in security and encryption as Microsoft will be discontinuing support for TLS 1.0 and 1.1. This means as of June, any commercial and GCC clients, devices or services that connect to Office 365 using these versions will not be successful.

Microsoft TLS Encryption Update

Microsoft recommends that all browser-server and client-server combinations update their TLS to version 1.2 to maintain the connection to Office 365 and its services. For guidance on how to prepare for TLS 1.2, Microsoft has released an article on how to sufficiently prepare for the change.

Alternatively, if you’ve been experiencing difficulties getting an earlier version of Dynamics NAV to work with the new SQL Server database that has been implemented by the TLS 1.2 update, the NAVTeam have shared an article on how to fix this issue and get your services running smoothly.
