Social Value

TES is working towards a sustainable future, helping to improve the social, economic and environmental wellbeing of the community.

TES supports the people and businesses in its communities to thrive, with a focus on helping young people access good careers. TES extends digital skills equitably to TES employees, deploying technology to serve core societal needs, supporting local communities, and fostering diversity and inclusion.

TES’ track record to date includes:

TES Apprenticeship Scheme

It is important that TES empowers and brings in young talent, and since 2013 the company has run an apprenticeship program with Staffordshire University. To date, TES has successfully trained and developed eight apprentices, five of which are with the company today.

  • TES apprentices are selected from local sixth form colleges, and TES actively encourages the participation of students who may not ordinarily go on to higher education or into the technology sector.
  • At the start of 2022, TES currently has two apprentices in training, with the aim of placing another three apprentices in 2023.

TES Certified scheme

In addition to the TES Apprenticeship scheme, TES also offers all employees access to its in-house TES Certified scheme to address any skills gaps. It has been developed to ensure all team members receive a high level of training and development opportunities to thrive in their role.

The scheme offers both internal and external training, and candidates can obtain formal qualifications such as recognised Microsoft Certifications, Prince2, ITIL and Agile development.

Give Back programme

The TES ‘Give Back’ programme aims to provide charitable support to the local community and the very charities that TES partners with to provide digital transformation. TES donates 5% of its annual profits to nominated charities and not-for-profit organisations.

TES staff are positively encouraged to nominate the charities the company donates to, and how it imaginatively creates and find ways to raise funds.

Charitable Donations & Activities

In addition to TES donating 5% of its annual profits to nominated charities and NFP organisations, the team actively participates in fundraising and volunteering for local charitable organisations. Across 2021, this included:

  • Rugeley and District First Responders – £82 collected
  • Border Collie Trust in Colton TES raised £420, enough funds to sponsor 8 kennels
  • St Giles Hospice – Solstice Walk – £85
  • Euro 2020 – £48 raised for the donkey sanctuary
  • Rugeley Food bank – £130 raised plus items donated
