A charitable 2021 for TES

Following another year where the Covid-19 pandemic has hit many people and businesses hard, those less fortunate than us have struggled more than ever. The team at TES has long made an effort to contribute to charities that benefit so much from donations, and this continued in 2021.

As part of the company’s ‘Give Back’ scheme, TES donates 5% of its annual profits to its charity and non-profit customers, but it doesn’t stop there. The team also wants to help wherever it can, which is why we make a conscious effort to donate to local charities.

Some of the charitable activities we undertook in 2021 are outlined below:

February

TES signed up to use Amazon Smile, where 0.5% of all eligible purchases are given to a charity of our choice, which we chose to be Border Collie Trust Great Britain. So far, we have raised £39.51 through doing nothing more than using the smile.amazon.co.uk website rather than the usual Amazon website.

For our efforts to raise money for Border Collie Trust Great Britain, TES was presented with a lovely certificate from the Trust. A wonderful charity run by wonderful people, and TES is proud to be involved with them.

April

TES raised a total of £82 for Rugeley and District First Responders through a ‘name the bear’ competition. One of our team members, Sue, also rounded up a team to take part in the upcoming Diabetes UK one million step challenge.

May

Through a food hamper raffle, a total of £420 was raised for the Border Collie Trust in Colton, Rugeley, which included £126 raised from an external raffle run by Sarah, a member of the TES team. In total, TES raised enough funds to sponsor eight kennels!

June

TES raised £85 taking part in a Solstice Walk for St Giles Hospice. What did they do? Simply took a walk around the canal.

Another £48 was raised by Team TES to go towards a donkey sanctuary.

July/August

£130 was raised by TES, which was donated to the Rugeley Foodbank along with several food items.

September

Cake Week for Macmillan Cancer Support raised £220, and certainly filled the stomachs of our team!

October

The one million step challenge ended, with the team raising £725 for Diabetes UK.

November/December

TES raised over £200 through raffle cards for the homeless of Birmingham and Wolverhampton. Cash donations from the internal team, along with items collected from the wider community, enabled TES to complete 55 kit bags, which consisted of a Greggs gift card, a selection box, a hat, gloves, socks, snacks, tea/coffee items and much more including personal hygiene items and sanitisers. There were 60 Christmas presents altogether, and we contributed to a Christmas meal as well, with all the trimmings.

One of our team members, Hayley, was also given several toys and games, which we were then able to donate to less fortunate children at a local school. There were also £40 gifted towards food parcels for the children and their families to help them through the festive period.

The aforementioned activities are key to the identity of TES. We believe greatly in the digital solutions we provide to charities and non-profit organisations, and we do what we can to support them outside of work as well.

Thank you Team TES

Throughout 2021, as part of TES’ work with Rugeley Foodbank, we donated over 155kg of food to the charity, helping to feed local people in need. Some of the food was also used for other events and delivered to alternative local food banks that were in need.

After donating this huge amount of food, TES received a thank you letter from the organisation, who were very grateful for our efforts and explained what the donations were being used for. You can read the letter in full below.

We want to say a big thank you to #TeamTES for their charitable efforts throughout 2021.
